John, Katrina voted most eligible single celebrities

Bollywood actors John Abraham and Katrina Kaif have been voted as the most eligible single celebrities in an online poll.

The poll conducted by matrimonial Website shaadi.com saw responses from over 18,000 netizens, a statement from the company said on Friday.

Nearly 48 per cent of males voted for Katrina as the most eligible single female and 43 per cent females named John as their favoured eligible bachelor.

While the Dostana actor polled more votes than Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Rahul Gandhi, M.S. Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, Katrina scored over divas like Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor.

“It's nice to see the way our members' preferences for an ideal partner have changed drastically. Its not just about looks and fashion trends but about power and higher social standing that makes a person more attractive and appealing,” Gourav Rakshit, business head of shaadi.com, said.

Special demands for ad shoot by Katrina Kaif

The Bollywood damsel Katrina Kaif who did not have airs but wasn’t even kind to those who interacted with her has started changing colors after having several hits in her basket.

According to the Bollywood buzz, she has apparently started using her star power. After having signed up a luxury designer brand and receiving a whooping amount too, she now has special demands for the ad shoot.

She wants to work with her own stylist, make-up artist and insists that they should accompany her to Paris where she would shoot in a particular hotel and will stay there as well.

The brand mangers are surely having a tough time.

We hope its not Salman’s brain working from behind as Katrina can certainly not afford to follow him.

Kat doesn't need short skirts

Guess one can’t take chances with stalkers these days. The Bollywood sweetheart who is currently on a roll — yeah, she has just notched up another successful film — is jubilant.

Dressed in a pair of slim-fitting jeans and a pink tee-shirt, her pretty face devoid of pancake, she smiles, “At least they can’t say my latest film is doing well because Katrina Kaif wore a short skirt. I don’t need to show leg to win notices.’’
The actress doesn’t take kindly to being called Bollywood’s lucky mascot either.

“Saying I’m just lucky kind of annihilates all the hard work that I have put into my films,’’ she says. “It also derides the capability of my directors. A script makes a film work, a lot of hard work goes into getting the right script, and to just attribute a film’s success to my good-luck is not right.’’

Of course, she’d rather be called a lucky mascot than a jinx, but she says in her four years in Bollywood, she has strived to make things work. Today, she is in a cushy place. Even Kareena Kapoor, Bollywood’s No. 1 actress, concedes that Katrina is hot property, but Katz is definitely not resting on her laurels. “I’m not ruthlessly ambitious. But, there is greed in me to want to do better work. In that sense, I’m exactly like Akshay Kumar. I deeply admire that quality in him. He has done over a 100 films, yet Akshay still has the same hunger in him to strive to do better.’’
